Calgary Ostomy offers education, peer support, and community for people living with an ostomy. Membership dues are only $30 per year, but our events are always open to non-members as well.

Here are a few ways that your membership supports the goals of the Calgary Ostomy Society:

  • Community Outreach – events, educational seminars, support groups, the Ostomy Visitor Program.
  • General Operations – administration, bookkeeping, marketing, website, and publications.
  • Giving Back – support of the Ostomy Canada Society and Friends of Ostomates Worldwide.
  • Ostomy Youth Camp – sponsoring children in the local area to attend camp in Bragg Creek, AB.

Ostomy Canada Magazine Update: Many of you have likely heard that Ostomy Canada has made the difficult decision not to produce the Ostomy Canada Magazine in 2026. As this has been a long-term benefit for our members, we are working with the national office while they prepare an assessment of our local needs. Connect with fellow Calgarians who have a colostomy, urostomy, ileostomy, and j-pouch due to conditions like Crohn’s and Cancer.

Learn with us! Ostomy Canada offers the Connects E-News and regular webinars. You’ll find inspirational stories, professional advice, and much more.

Opportunities

Members have the opportunity to volunteer for positions on our executive committee and can vote on agenda items at our Annual General Meeting.

Join Online

Calgary Ostomy uses a platform called Zeffy to manage our memberships and donations.


Please sign up online using the Zeffy form.

  • Receive a tax receipt for any amount entered in “Add a donation. (Membership fee is ineligible for tax receipt.)
  • If you prefer not to donate to Zeffy, you can opt-out by selecting Other under “Support the 100% free Canadian platform we use!”
  • Check the “Automatic Renewal” option to securely save your credit card information for renewal next year.
  • Membership is valid for one year from your sign-up date. Zeffy will send an email reminder one month before your membership expires. You can then opt to renew online or opt out of automatic renewal.
