The Calgary Ostomy Society (COS) is an affiliated chapter of the Ostomy Canada Society. We are a non-profit volunteer organization committed to supporting individuals with an ostomy or j-pouch, helping them to live life to the fullest through education and support. Ostomy Visitor Program

Connect with a Certified Ostomy Visitor for personalized support for your ostomy or j-pouch. Patient and self-referral is available.

Ostomy & J-Pouch Support Group

Join our active support group, which meets via Zoom on the last Tuesday of every month. You’ll receive support, resources, and tips for your ostomy.

Become A Member

We offer connection, education, and support for people living with an ostomy. At this time, membership payments are temporarily unavailable.

Ostomy Discovery Day ft. Convatec

Join us on March 24 for a special presentation, Optimizing Convexity in Ostomy Care with Convatec’s Esteem Body® with Leak Defense™.

Financial Resources

Learn about Alberta Aids to Daily Living, a provincial cost-share program that covers ostomy supplies, as well as federal programs including the Disability Tax Credit.

Donate Ostomy Supplies

We partner with Friends of Ostomates Worldwide to help needy people in developing countries. Donations can be dropped off at CB Medical.

We meet on the last Tuesday every month for our Support Group, the second Saturday every month for the Osto-Meet social gathering, and hold quarterly meetings in March, June, September, and December.
