Optimizing Convexity in Ostomy Care with Convatec’s Esteem Body® with Leak Defense™

Join Calgary Ostomy for our upcoming Ostomy Discover Day, featuring special guest Convatec. This in-person educational event is designed for people living with an ostomy, caregivers, and anyone interested in learning more about current ostomy care solutions in a supportive, welcoming environment.

This session, Optimizing Convexity in Ostomy Care with Convatec’s Esteem Body® with Leak Defense™, will explore how convexity can support better pouching outcomes and help reduce leaks. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about Convatec’s latest soft convexity innovations, ask questions, and connect with others in the local ostomy community. Refreshments will be provided.

Learning objectives include:

• Discussing the five characteristics of convexity as outlined by an international Consensus Panel in the JWOCN journal (2021), Characteristics of Convex Skin Barriers and Clinical Application
• Introducing Convatec’s latest innovation in soft convexity solutions, Esteem Body® with Leak Defense™

Please note that this event is being held in the lounge of our Vice President Deanna’s condo. A few important details to help you arrive smoothly:

Parking:

• Free street parking is available after 5:30 p.m., though spaces may be limited
• 6-hour free underground parking is available in the parkade, located just past the Garrison Green building to the right

• Parking registration is required—please use the posted QR code once parked

• From the parkade, exit through the side door and proceed to the main entrance
