The Calgary Ostomy E-News for November 2023 includes several events, volunteer training and opportunities. Coming up, we have Ostomy Visitor Training, our final Ostomy & J-Pouch Virtual Support Group for the year, and a Christmas Social. Our Visitor Program is seeking volunteers for various surgery types, and we are in dire need of a treasurer, as well as marketing, communications and admin roles.

Calgary Ostomy Society held its third annual Step Up For Ostomy awareness event at the Inglewood Community Hall on September 16, 2023.
Calgary Ostomy was honoured to be invited as an exhibitor at the Alberta Summit on Wound, Ostomy, and Continence on October 5, 2023, in Red Deer! This NSWOC Canada summit was truly inspiring, with patients, government, and healthcare professionals coming together to discuss the importance of improving access to specialized wound, ostomy, and continence care for all Albertans.
