SUMMARY:Ostomy Canada Video Shoot
DESCRIPTION:Join Ostomy Canada Society for a special video storytelling session at the Calgary Central Library. We are inviting members of the ostomy community to share their experiences on camera to help raise awareness\, reduce stigma\, and support others who may be newly diagnosed or adjusting to life with an ostomy. \n\n\n\nThese filmed stories will be used in future awareness campaigns\, educational materials\, social media\, and website content. Whether your journey is recent or long-standing\, your voice can make a meaningful difference. \n\n\n\nNo acting experience is needed. We will guide you with simple questions and create a supportive\, comfortable environment. We would love to have you join us as we continue building a strong\, visible ostomy community across Canada. \n\n\n\nLocation Info\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMeet us in Meeting Room 3-10B at 1:30 PM on the third floor. There is parking in the City Hall parkade\, paid parking lots on the east side of the Library\, and paid street parking in the East Village. The closest CTrain stop is City Hall\, on both the Red and Blue lines.

The photos captured will support Ostomy Canada’s 2026 awareness and marketing campaigns\, celebrating strength\, diversity\, and everyday life with an ostomy. \n\n\n\nDate: Sunday\, December 14Location: Studio T1XPhotographer: Sean CurriePurpose: Support the 2026 Ostomy Canada marketing campaigns \n\n\n\nThis year’s photoshoot will focus on a variety of themes that reflect the heart of Ostomy Canada. Photoshoot ideas include images representing support groups\, the Visitor Program\, community resources\, peer support\, and the many ways people with ostomies live full and vibrant lives. \n\n\n\nWe’re inviting volunteer models to take part in this meaningful project. All body types\, ages\, and experiences are welcome. No modelling experience is required—just come as you are. A plan outlining our photoshoot and what to wear will be shared with all participants before the event.
